I live in Muskogee, Oklahoma and work in Tulsa. I got off work and was driving home just minutes (maybe a half hour) before a storm with a tornado hit the Tulsa area. The sky was dark and ominous behind me, but full of light in front of me. Barely a bit of sprinkling during the drive which takes about an hour. At home (about 40 miles from Tulsa) the storm had only rain and a bit of lightning - no wind.
The interesting part --- I was listening to DAB coming home. Praise God! (You can't tell me God's protection isn't real!)
