Thanks everyone!
LOL,Tom! I couldn't help it. ;-) And I keep thinking Mackinac would make a great long walk destination. Except for one thing... tourists! :D

Great pictures Heidi. Florida definitely has a shortage of waterfalls so whenever I am out of state and see a sign for a waterfall I have to go find it! :-D

Hey Heidi,
I know you like Mackinac for the fudge and goodies there. :-) And it may be true about the tourists, but the upper part of the highlands can be secluded enough for a quiet time with God; like up near the airfield and around there...
Heck, even the graveyard was a meditative experience when I wandered through it (which is probably as quiet a place as you can get!).
:-)
Hugs and blessings,
Tom

Very powerful falls and I think your photo is pretty. Your kids look like they really enjoyed the time out :)

That's true, Tom. I forgot about the graveyard! :D

Indeed! I am thinking of heading there this fall again, with kayak and bicycle...
...tourism or no, the place has deeply emotive memories for me; some painful, and others quite beautiful. I would like to replace the painful ones with more of the beautiful ones.

October is perfect out there... the colors are breathtaking and it's very quiet. Autumn Walk sounds good.
